Mr. Kirk A. Patrick, III is co founder and co managing partner of the firm. He was born in New Orleans, LA in 1964. Mr. Patrick received his BA from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi in 1986. In 1989, he received his JD from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. While at LSU, he was selected to the Moot Court Board, won the 1989 Tullis Moot Court Competition and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame on October 28, 1989.

Mr. Patrick was admitted to the Louisiana bar in 1989 and was admitted to the Texas bar in 1999. He is licensed to practice before all Louisiana federal and district courts, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal and the Federal Claims Court in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Texas State Bar Associations, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute and the Trucking Industry Defense Association (“TIDA”).

Mr. Patrick maintains both a commercial and casualty litigation practice. In his commercial practice, his experience lies in commercial litigation, business and unfair trade practice matters, directors and officers liability claims, accountant malpractice, bankruptcy, breach of contract claims and construction defect and professional liability claims in the defense of contractors, consultants and engineers.

Mr. Patrick also maintains a large casualty litigation practice with a special emphasis in energy related casualty litigation including offshore accidents and maritime, mass tort/toxic tort defense, transportation/trucking claims and insurance coverage disputes.
